The heat pump water heater uses the operational principle of a heat pump, absorbing heat from outdoors and using the energy to heat water. The fan draws in ambient air, transferring its energy to the cooling agent in the evaporator 2, transforming it from liquid to gas. The gas is then further heated by compression 3. In the condenser 4, the gas transfers the accumulated heat to the water tank. As it gets colder, it transforms back into a liquid.
